Lunchbox Records

I like this record store. They have a very good selection of records and they’re very organized. You can sell your records to them. The staff are very knowledgeable about what you’re looking for or about music in general. And my favorite part is you can manually look up products on their website to know if they have certain records or not before even driving there to look for them yourself. Very helpful when looking for specific records! They keep their catalogs pretty modern and up to date and will sometimes even have limited edition records for sale at their store. I’ve been going to this store for years now and it’s the only record store in Charlotte that I will go to.

This review is for the weekday staff. I'm all for small businesses, and esp. with record and book stores since Charlotte lacks culture and character so am glad that this store exists. Point of going to a physical record store is to have human interaction, unlike shopping online. The weekday staff here are a bunch of surly Barry Judd degenerates who couldn't even get a job at Subway. No hi, no thank you, and even when I say thank you , no you're welcome. Probably spends most of their times and money on OF since they have never been laid, need to get laid, but never will get laid. Weekend staff are different though, friendlier, chattier, knowledgeable and engages you in a stimulating conversation about music and arts. Weekday staff v. weekend staff is like night and day. How about the weekday staff get fewer body piercings and less color in their hair, 'cause the metal and chemical are seeping through their skin to their veins and brain, if they have one.

Great company with even better customer service. I ordered a limited edition vinyl that arrived on time and was packaged thorough with plenty of cardboard and warning labels not to bend or crush. Well USPS outdid themselves and dropped it on the corner in shipping. The spine of the sleeve was all bent and a real bummer for a brand new vinyl. I reach out to them they offered to replace it with the same thing. I was expecting to have to pay the return shipping. To my surprise they sent over a return label. New one arrived a week later and was packaged with extra care. They had removed the vinyl sleeves and put them in the plastic sleeve to help prevent damage. Perfect condition! Will look to them for my next album purchase.
